About Alvin
Alvin has more than 10 years of experience teaching swimming. He is an SSI Swimming Instructor Trainer: a role that goes beyond teaching learners to training and certifying swimming instructors. The guides on this site are published with Swim2u Swim School, whose credentials, including SSI certification as a Swim Centre, are listed on our about page.
How Alvin writes the guides
Each guide is written from how swimming lessons are actually arranged in Singapore: class formats, pools, learner groups and the questions families ask before booking. Facts about programmes, pools and weather are checked against official Singapore sources such as SwimSafer on ActiveSG Circle, and each page lists the sources it relies on. Guides follow our editorial policy: no invented prices, timetables, availability or reviews, and no guarantees about how fast someone will learn.
