Beginners at public pools
Beginners do well when there is shallow water and the pool is not packed. Weekday and early morning times are generally calmer than weekend late mornings. See beginner swim classes.
Pool entry and access
Pool entry charges, where a pool has them, are generally separate from lesson fees. Opening hours and occasional closures for maintenance or events also affect lessons. Confirm both when you arrange your class.

Swim2u lists the public swimming complexes it teaches at on its venue page. Having a pool on the list does not mean every class type is open at every time. Availability varies by location, instructor and learner level.
