Private or group?
Private classes give one learner (or a family) the coach's full attention and the most flexibility on time and place. They suit nervous beginners, adults, toddlers and learners with special needs.
Group classes group learners by level and cost less per person. They suit confident children and improvers. A small group of 2โ5 sits in between, and works well for siblings or friends.
Swimming classes by location
Classes can take place at condominium pools, public swimming complexes and private pools. Swim2u's venue list covers public swimming complexes across the Central, North, North-East, East and West regions, plus some facility pools.
Choose a pool that is an easy trip from home, school or work. Not every venue has every class type at every time.

Why start here
Most swim school websites tell you about the school. This site helps you decide what kind of swimming class you need first: private or group, weekday or weekend, condo or public pool. Then you enquire knowing exactly what to ask for.
No made-up timetables, prices or reviews. Where something depends on live availability, we say so.

Frequently asked questions
What types of swimming classes are available in Singapore?
Through Swim2u you can ask about kids, toddler, adult, beginner, ladies and special needs swimming classes, in private, small group or group formats, at condo pools or public swimming complexes.
Are swimming classes available for complete beginners?
Yes. Beginner classes start with water confidence, breathing and floating before strokes. See beginner swimming classes.
What age can children start swimming classes?
Swim2u teaches babies (below age 2), toddlers (2 to 4) and children (5 to 12), as well as adults. The right format depends on the child's readiness, so tell Swim2u your child's age and water experience and they will advise what suits. See toddler and kids swimming classes.
Can adults learn to swim even if they are afraid of water?
Yes. Fear of water is common among adult learners. A patient coach, a private class or a very small group, and a slow start with water confidence help. See adult swimming classes.
How do I choose between private and group swimming classes?
Private suits nervous beginners, adults and flexible schedules. Group suits confident children and lower budgets. See private vs group swim classes.
Can swimming classes be conducted at condo pools?
Often yes, subject to your condo's rules and coach availability. See condo swimming classes.
Do you offer ladies swimming classes?
Yes. Private lessons and small groups are available, and Swim2u lists female instructors as available for ladies lessons. Ask for a female coach when you enquire. See ladies swimming classes.
Are special needs swimming classes available?
Yes. Swim2u runs a dedicated special needs swimming site at specialneeds.com.sg. See special needs swimming classes for how to choose.
What should I bring to swimming class?
Swimwear, goggles and a swim cap are enough to start, plus a towel. Swim2u's terms ask students to have their own swimwear, goggles, swim cap and kickboard (Swim2u terms). Toddlers who are not toilet-trained need a swim nappy.
What happens if it rains or there is lightning?
Light drizzle does not usually stop a lesson, but the coach or the pool operator may cancel or postpone for bad weather, and ActiveSG pools close based on NEA lightning data (MCCY). Under Swim2u's published FAQ, if bad weather is forecast you can message your coach at least an hour before they travel to postpone, and the lesson is usually moved to the following week. See Swim2u lesson policies explained.
How long does it take to learn swimming?
It varies from person to person, and no fixed timeline can be promised. Swim2u's own guidance is that children generally start to show noticeable progress about 4 to 6 months after they become comfortable in the water (Swim2u FAQ). Regular lessons and practice help.
Can I book a trial lesson?
Yes. According to Swim2u's FAQ, a trial lesson costs the same as one standard lesson, lasts 30 or 45 minutes, and is used to assess water confidence and swimming ability. Ask for one when you enquire.
What if I need to reschedule a lesson?
Swim2u's published policy asks for at least one day's notice, with lessons in a package completed within about a month. Group lessons have no make-up sessions for absences, and private make-up lessons need a valid medical certificate. Full details: lesson policies explained.
How much do swimming classes cost?
It depends on class size, number of learners, location, lesson length and package. See swimming class fees, or ask Swim2u for current rates.
How do I enquire about swimming class availability?
Use the enquiry form or WhatsApp Swim2u on +65 8806 5383. Share the learner's age, swimming level, preferred class type, area or pool, and preferred days and times.
